Avoca Valley Boarding Cattery

Heather and Robert have owned the Cattery since Feb 2017 and feel privileged to live in the beautiful Avoca Valley with its distinctive rural character.

Pets, both cats and dogs, have always been an integral part of our family. Our children are all adults now, but enduring memories of our family pets remain with us all.

Heather is a qualified Nurse currently working part-time for the CDHB at Burwood Hospital.

Heather has extensive experience in the Health sector having held a variety of different roles over the years.

Robert has a background in Animal Husbandry and Diploma qualifications from Lincoln University.

Much of Robert’s prior work has been in the rural sector.

We are assisted by casual staff when the need arises. A number of our staff are in training at ARA in the Veterinary Nursing course.
Together we make up the team at Avoca Valley Cattery. As a team we share a love and respect of animals and this is the guiding principle on which we base the operation of the Cattery.
